All About Banner Music

Typically we sign single song contracts. We have some long-standing relationships with a few writers and although they are not paid a draw, they are considered Banner Music affiliate writers because they believe in us and we believe in them and they bring songs to Banner Music first for consideration before pitching to other music publishers. These relationships take time to develop. We prefer to affiliate and develop relationships with great writers who are easy to work with and also want to develop a long-term relationship with us as their publisher. As an added benefit to our writers and us, we endeavor to set up co-writing appointments and schedule our writers to play in rounds in Nashville. Submission Policy; Send 3 songs on CD for our review. (include lyric sheets) Or you may send one song on mp3 to our email address. Or give us a site address where we can listen to your songs. If we are interested in offering a contract we will contact you. You do not need to call or write for permission to send material, however you may contact us via email for other information.

We are not accepting unsolicited material

Focus Up on Songwriting began late in 2010. This program is offered to select songwriters who've reached a certain level in their songwriting and really want to reach that next level with serious focus on their songs and songwriting. This program is not for everybody. The level of critique and discussion is deep and detailed. The idea is to help songwriters get to the level in the craft of songwriting where they are consistently writing songs music industry professionals will want to sign to their catalog, or would offer the songwriter a staff publishing deal on. Songwriters considering the Focus Up on Songwriting Program should make a commitment of at least six (6) months before moving forward with the program.

Here is how it works: Each month the songwriter submits two songs with lyrics and Camilla sends out an mp3 critique of each of the songs. Then a half hour phone conversation time per song is scheduled. The songwriter and Camilla will discuss the song, her critique and any other questions that arise from the process. The Cost is $100 per month.

If you believe you are ready for the Focus Up on Songwriting Program, submit 2 songs with lyric sheets by mp3 to camilla@bannermusic.com Write a message to Camilla about your songwriting journey and any critiquing you had before. She will get back to you within a few days.

We’re out on Music Row pitching songs everyday, literally listening to hundreds of songs per week. We know great songs when we hear them and can identify what is wrong with “almost” great songs. There are actually very few “great” songs out there, but lots of “almost” great ones! We’ve helped lots of writers improve their craft. So if you’re tired of getting your songs rejected and not knowing why but wanting to, we can help.

How to get started…
1) Send payment for the critique.

2.) Send your song(s) by email WITH a lyric sheet to camilla@bannermusic.com
Please put in subject line: song critique

3.) You will receive an mp3 critique from Camilla by email within a few days.
You’ll need to invest $25 per song, or you can invest $60 for 3.

We accept payment by PayPal or if you prefer you can send a check to:
