Hey Ya’ll! Here’s something really important you should know. We have a new “Writer’s Room/Office” on Music Row. Look for our sign! The new address is 19 Music Square West, Suite B, Nashville, TN 37203. Our main office of course is still in our home in Shelbyville. I’ve been critiquing a lot of songs lately. I like thinking I’m helping songwriters improve in their craft. Let me know if you need something critiqued! Now that I can receive and send mp3 files makes critiquing much better for myself and songwriters! Modern technology is wonderful! I’m always plugging songs of course! We WANT a major cut! I’ve made a personal commitment to secure more songs in film/tv in 2008! I’ve got some great leads, so I hope it happens. Look up Kenneth Duncan on myspace! http://www.myspace.com/kennethduncan I met Kenneth several years ago and saw “something” in him that sets him apart from many writers I run across. Right now he is an “affiliate” Banner Music songwriter. This means he is working with us, and through hard work he is developing into a hit songwriter! Hopefully we can get him signed as a staff songwriter. Daniel is writing regularly with Kenneth so you’ll be hearing their songs once we get them demo’d. Kenneth is also developing as a recording artist as well. Also take note of Jon Raven! http://www.myspace.com/jonraven Oh My Goodness can Jon carry a tune! We believe Jon is already a star, just not discovered yet. Listen to him sing! Daniel is also writing with Jon and you’ll be able to hear their songs on Jon’s site and on ours. We are going to do everything we can to help Jon secure a major recording contract. We are really happy to be so closely working with such great writers and artists! What a blessing they are to us. Banner Music has had a long standing relationship with Mike Brandon and Second City Music Group. Daniel met Mike at an NSAI event in 1991. I am pitching their catalogue. We’ve also signed a co-publishing contract with Ross Rogers of Oregon, owner of Honky Donk Music. We are hoping to secure commercial recordings for both Mike Brandon and Ross Rogers.
We are also pursuing
corporate promotional music opportunities. You’ll see our
website changing up a bit in the next few weeks/months to
accommodate those opportunities. I’ve also joined “WMBA” which is Women in Music Business Association. It is a great organization. It is a great networking tool and a great place to make friends in the industry. Daniel is still writing songs. I mentioned he is writing with Kenneth Duncan, but he is also still writing with Richard Mitchell (staff writer for Second City Music Group) and Kelly Sullivan (staff writer for Toby Keith’s publishing company). Daniel is pretty low key, but he keeps growing our catalogue with his writing appointments. Daniel also joins me whenever he can for music events on Music Row. He is a hard worker because he still maintains a full time job and still manages to write great songs! The big blue ball continues to turn on an axis, my kids are growing up and we still believe in the dream. Keep writing and contacting us!
