Hi all, Sorry this update is so long in coming! We’ve had a very busy year! The Lord has blessed us! Here is a run down of what we’ve been up to ….. Banner Music, LLC was formed in February of 2006. Yes! We incorporated. We have secured approximately 100 independent cuts for our clients and from the Banner Music Catalogue. Although these are indie cuts, we are always hopeful that our songs will help these artists secure a major recording contract or take their career to the next level. Our contacts are always expanding. I’ve been communicating with a few film maker and music supervisors in the last few months, but nothing new has developed there. I hope to go out to LA with my good friend Kathy Anderson of Hadley Music Group next spring. The most exciting thing that happened in 2006 is that I executive produced a Christmas record that has sold almost 2 MILLION units. Yes it is true! It was an instrumental project and came directly from the Lord. I have been having LOTS of pitch meetings on my own, but also with my pitch group called Mocha Network. The Mocha Network was featured in October issue of @Music Row (an online publication issued by trade magazine “Music Row Magazine”) I will try to attach the full article/photo on my website so you can read it. This group is a great group of people. Hit songwriter Jason Blume asked if Banner Music would be the feature publisher at his songwriter workshop he holds at BMI. I, of course, went and spoke and listened to many songs. I have been in contact with a few of the writers I met there. So far, I signed two songs from that meeting. Jason Blume has GREAT songwriter books available on his website. You should consider ordering them if you are an aspiring songwriter. http://www.jasonblume.com/ We have moved into a new office on Music Row. Our office address is 1010 16th Ave. South, suite 105. My home office is still the best to send material to. But we also like having a place to land. Daniel has a fine writer’s room again. If you know the history of that address, you know hit songs were written at that address so I expect Daniel’s efforts to continue! We have a pretty big demo session coming up.
